InsurTech hepster and online retailer BAUR agree on cooperation

BAUR, one of Germany's largest online retailers, will be offering its customers digital insurance from hepster as an additional service.

Rostock, 07 May 2024 - BAUR, one of Germany's largest online retailers, is offering its customers digital insurance as an additional service. hepster, one of Germany's leading InsurTechs, is providing its solutions for the online retailer.

Since mid-April, BAUR has been recommending hepster's digital insurance products to its customers in its online shop. The cooperation between hepster and BAUR underlines the ambition of both companies to offer their customers the best possible shopping experience. In the future, it will be possible to access hepster's insurance products throughout the customer journey in the online shop while shopping at BAUR. Customers will be able to research insurance policies at various touch points in the shopping process and then purchase them directly from hepster to match their shopping basket.

A range of different insurance products will be offered at the start of the partnership, including smartphone insurance, sports equipment insurance, bicycle insurance and e-bike insurance. Later in the year, there are plans to expand the collaboration to include other insurance products such as furniture insurance and jewellery and handbag insurance.
